cosecant, secant and cotangent functions

We can define the cosecant, secant and cotangent functions of $ \theta$ as the reciprocal of the sine, cosine and tangent functions of $ \theta$, respectively by

$\displaystyle \csc\theta = \dfrac{1}{\sin\theta}; \hspace{0.2in} \sec\theta = \dfrac{1}{\cos\theta}; \hspace{0.2in} \cot\theta = \dfrac{1}{\tan\theta}.$ (1-3)

Trigonometric functions. The six functions introduced in (1-1) and (1-3) are collectively called the trigonometric functions.
